Today was pitching day, and although I did originally want to work on one drama and one doc I have ended up with two dramas. I am really excited about the two pieces I am working on, both "Lights" and "Replacement" seem as though they will push my DOP skills to the limit.
"Lights" Directed by Rosy Pearce is about a young girl struggling with her fear of the dark and her obsessive compulsive need to surround herself with lights.
This piece will be amazing to light and I will be able to be really creative with shots in low lighting.
"Replacement" Directed by Alice Reynolds is about a middle aged woman, her elderly dad, a care worker and a spade!
As DOP I will have my work cut out with the killing scene and the bathroom scene, I am looking forward to getting stuck in.
I will aim to make both of these films very visually pleasing and cinematic. I will work to the best of my ability and I am extremely excited to get started.
